How the store's name came about

The name IKYL originates from the ancient Greek word “Lyke” (Λύκη), which refers to the first light of day — dawn, the moment when night gives way to light. It is a concept that symbolizes new beginnings, energy, optimism, and renewal — values that perfectly reflect the philosophy of our brand.

We wanted to create a name with a strong Greek identity while still feeling contemporary and international. By reversing the word “Lyke,” we created IKYL. In this way, the name retains its inspiration from the Greek language while becoming a distinctive brand name that is easy to recognize, pronounce, and carry across international markets.
